Taranaki Family 4wd Club was formed in July 2005 by  group of 4wd'ing enthusiasts to promote 4 wheel driving as a wholesome fun family activity. The club is affiliated to the New Zealand 4wd Association of New Zealand.

We run different grades of runs to suit most vehicles from  road runs to tuff truck runs. Our meetings are held the last Thursday of the month. Our goal is to keep these meetings low key with a "chat and cuppa" afterwards.

As a club we are renowned for hosting other clubs out side of the area for runs. These vary from a gentle road tunnel run to the much tougher Whanga road run. Once a year we host a Central Zone invitation run in which all the clubs with in the NZFWDA Central are invited.
