I At first thought this was a long way from home to go on a run but it turned out to be one of those very enjoyable runs and one I was glad I took the time to go on. I met Bruce,Tony, Jeff and Abby, Shane at the turn off to Bushy Park and a short drive took us to the first farm we were to go on. At the wool shed we joined up with Mike and his Dad, and Lindsay. First stop was a 70 met re mast which measured wind flow. Then it was lots of formed farm tracks over some very nice terrain with the odd patch of mud which Bruce's bling bling truck just could'nt keep out of even though its plates says its shiny and never will touch the mud! It was nice easy driving and before long we were at the boundary of Mikes farm, and off to his house for a lunch break.

After lunch it was off down a bushy track, through some forest, not with out its challenges for some of us, the odd slide or two down the more greasy parts, lots of those sharp corners that require you back up to get around. Eventually coming back out on to open pasture there were lots of hill climbs, ridge lines with spectacular views. Breakdowns only Jeff with a flat tire, Mike small electrical problem. We covered around 50 km's of farm tracks. Many thanks to Jeff from Wanganui Club for organising this, Also thanks To Mike and Lindsay for making this such a great day.
